what codes are these
ok I'm trying to search for these because i didnt know where to find them in the online manual. the cel goes 1 long, the 4 short, then 8 short. Repeat. So i gonna try to find them but any help, or which section of the manual to look at would be great.

so from what i could find in the manual there is no code 14, so i think it could be code 4, then 8 then 10, cuz when i first turn the key on i got 4 quick, then 8 quick, then 1 long. the long came last does this make any sense. Also the car is running wayyyyy to rich. Maybe i should leave it and add boost
lol j/k

according to the manual for code ten, if that is what it is. it says that if code 8 also exists then to check for an open circuit from vaf sensor c or d to ground, so if i take the plug off and meter between c or d and ground i shouldnt get open loop. am i right with this thinking or what. Car electrical systems are new to me so i just need to check this out here first.

The one long one at the beginning may not have been a code. It does that when you first turn it on. Let it cycle through the codes and you should just get the 4 and the 8. Maybe... Just an idea.

ok just had a thought, when i replaced my shifter cable i had to unplug the ecu to get the cable in, then when i was finished with the cable i tried starting the car to test the switch position on the tranny, but i didnt have the vaf hooked up, the intake was completely out of the car waiting for the cai to arrive. could that have caused my 8 and 10 codes, if so then how do i reset the ecu. i guess i could unplug it again.

Update, I reset the ecu and then all error codes were gone, started the car and got code 4 back, cam position sensor i think. Will doing the hei get rid of this or no. I also think that this is what takes my car soooo long to start. Cranks for 5-10 seconds before starting. I got an hei from a friend of mine as he had 2 or 3 laying around. I laso have a spare disty, the old one from this car that needs to be modded. Holding off till i get an external coil.
