long story of problems

First off, my car is a 91 escort wagon with KLDE.Im using a 93 mx3 engine harness and 94 pgt ecu.I completed my swap and drove the car but it was missing during acceleration. It also had a 1700rpm idle and missed at idle.So i started replacing basic things.I first replaced the plugs and wires but that didnt change anything at all.The next thing i did was replace the 02 sensors which seemed to help out with my low end but my idle bumped up to 2k.The miss also went away during acceleration but was still there at idle.I then did the HEI mod but didnt do the external coil yet.I drove the car for about 10 miles and it ran great. Then i filled it up with gas and drove it for about 12 more miles and it went back to running bad.It got the 1700rpm idle back and had the stuttering and missing under acceleration.Today i decided to replace the coolant temp sensor and i also found a vaccum leak.I fixed the leak and reset the ecu, now i have a perfect 800rpm idle, no missing at idle, but the car bogs under acceleration. If i floor it the car just sits there and finally gets to redline but top end pulls normal.I checked both vris and they both work.If i slowly give it gas it seems to rev better but it doesnt like it when i floor the pedal down.Any ideas?

Check for vaccum leaks - one good way is to spray wd-40 around the intake hose (manifold too) and see if the idle changes - that will tell you if there are any leaks that are not normally visible (like gasket leaks).

2nd Change both fuel filters and check fuel pump. Run a few bottles of fuel injector cleaner.

Did you remove the stock ignition module when you did the HEI mod?

as weird as it sounds, for the hell of it, i put the old coolant temp sensor back in and the car runs mint.Perfect 800 rpm idle,no missing, and no bogging.I musta got a bad sensor from the parts store.

i can post up some pics of the finished car but i didnt take pics of the swap progress, like i did with my other wagon.I posted pics on here of the old swap.It was another 94 escort wagon but that one was green.Im hoping to pick up a camcorder or get somebody to camcord the car for me so i can have some videos to share.
