Last November, we barely knew what was a MX-3. Now we know... :D

You'll see different picture of our activities. We also want to go do some lapping and drag racing.

Thank you very much to all the people that got involve in this project

Great pics, esp like the first two action shots. Really nice build on your MX-3 too.

i love the pics and i admire your car especially the ice racing idea and the awesome tires... what bugs me the most is your foggy headlights, I understand this car is not for show but if you invest 5 minutes of your time and like $7 and buy some mcgwire plastics polish and buff them a little they're going to look a great and better your lighting. Hope you had a good season and enjoyed the car :D

Video will be available in a near futur, and the fog in the headlight comes from the plastic shield that we have to put on, also a dummy stainless version is on it's way

Obviously our season is over (and was not a good one weather wise) we manage good for our first try out and learned a lot about that type of race.

We had the great idea to dyno the car when we bought it and we just went back again yesterday with our new rebuilt engine and a couple of "amélioration"

Result: Before mustang dyno 135 hp
After Dynojet 175 whp :2thumbsup:

I will skip what happened in 2008 (too many mechanical problems) and briefly show you what has been done since then.

Mazdaspeed LSD is gone. It was not tough enough for our use so now we welded and welded and welded everything togheter (big improvment for us)

OEM backglass is gone and replace by lightweight version 8)

Suspension has been upgrade to STD coilover :D :D :D

Eibach Wheel spacer and ignition switch (Nascar type)

Short shifter and quick release steering

We also were able to weight the car. 2335lbs with 67% front and 33% rear and about 50-50 L/R (no driver in)

We are now working on weight distribution as well as alignment, so if you have any suggestions or known working set-up; please do not be shy and share whatever data or info you have.

Move battery to back, get rid of a/c piping, and other useless junk in engine bay if its still there like the a/c condenser and whatnot. Seems like you stripped the interior a bit, I'm surprised your weight distribution is so far off...you could try corner balancing your car, might help a bit...what spring rates are your coilovers? I know we can get close to 55/45 (maybe send a PM to YODA).

Car looks great otherwise! If you add an AWD rear subframe (lots of welding required) that will add some weight to the back, not to mention power! but you are running a V6, so I don't think that has been done...you have a KLZE? certainly not a K8 w/ 175 WHP.

drum brakes?! Do a disc swap from a GS so you can loose some weight!

Pretty sure disc brakes adds weight...the rotor/drum is probably a wash but a caliper weights more than a wheel cylinder.
