No, it will not work for the 1.6.

The Flyin' Miata stroker kit is for the 1.8 BP's. It will work for the FWD BP's, but did you see the hefty price tag that came with it?

Yeah BP only. The title of the post is BP/BPT guys.... so I was assuming he was talking about the BP.

Will not work on the B6.

I think he FOUND it while looking theu Flyin Miatas website for 1.6L Stuff. I am sure he knows its for the BP.

yeah i know, its for the BP....i'm just sharing I know how power hungry you 1.8 guys are I'm looking for a 1.6l stroker kit but i think it will be hard to find since most people swap in a 1.8 into there 1.6l miata

IIRC, Toda makes a stroked crankshaft for the B6.

Monty, you could make your own stroker kit. You could take your 1.6L crank shaft, have extra material welded to the outsides of the journals, then have it reground off center. Since you are having it reground, now is the right time to find a shorter connecting rod. Make sure it fits the piston pin. Since you are regrinding the crank shaft, you may also change the journal diameters to fit the rods you found. Since you are putting this kind of care into your motor, now would be a good time to knife-edge the crank weights, true-up the faces, hone the cylinder, and either replace the pistons or have a good machine shop lighten them up. During the process, you'll need to have your components checked for cracks and chromed. It's a lot of work, but I bet that it would cost the same or less than the cost of a $4000 stroker kit plus installation. Of course, you'll need to verify the oil-pan clearance and the piston-to-head clearance.

Your displacement will increase by twice the change of the offset of the journal, times the surface area of the cylinder walls, times 4. A '92 B6 engine has bore 76 mm and stroke 83.6mm. if you were to e able to offset the journal diameter by 5mm, your net gain would be 191 cc -- total of 1789 cc. This isn't much of a gain for all the money. That's why most perople do the BP swap, it's a much more economical way of getting a bigger engine. Still, if you did stroke a B6, you would have some bragging rights, and your car would have more torque.

-- just an alternative to consider...

Yeah, you gotta know what you are going to do with a car. Myself, I'm planning on racing off-road. So, I have a target engine size after adjustments. So, from there, I can work backwards and determine exactly what size the engine displacement would need to be to maximize the total displacement without breaking into the next category.
