cv joint ?

OK, I just have a quick question about a ford probe...my buddy has one n im pretty sure that the cv joints out,,,taking that out n wat not should b pretty close to the same as taking mine out of my mx-3 rite?

i started taking it apart n hit a snag...i went to pull the rotor off n it wouldnt budge,....so i got to thinking n thought it might b all one assembly..wat do u guys think?

why do you need to take the rotor off to take out an axle?? :o You just pull the tierod off and take out the 2 strut bolts, the camber wont go out really that much, because the bolts used are usually the same size as the hole, allowing no movement. Then just twist the hub assembly to one side and the axle will slide out.

bc taking the rotor off allows more room to work n in normal cases,( as was the case of my mx-3, a honda accord, n a chevy corsica), the rotor usually just slides off the studs n it makes everything a lot easier...plus i really dont want to mess up the alignment if i dont have to...but im gonna look at it again today n c wat i can do...damn fords.
