My back driver side wheel bearing is making a pretty loud noise when i get to about 30 miles per hour. It started after i hit into a curb, a mechanic said it was the bearing, is it safe to drive it like this? i think it should be a pretty easy fix but i cant fix it yet.

Jack the car up and wiggle the wheel from top to bottom. If it move much it is not very safe. Thing is that the bearing holds the wheel to the car. If the bearing gets too bad the wheel and hub will seperate from the spindle and go flying off. Try driving on three wheels and getting to a stop safely...

If ya do need to replace the rear bearing it is done by replacing the hub (just for the rears). Not a tough DIY repair and the hub runs ~$50 USD. They show up on ebay now and then for 40-$50 for a new pair which is a very nice deal. That's how I got mine. Oh, and welcome to the board.
