What is your power goal and what are you using the car for?

I prefer the GT-R ballbearing turbos and am closely looking at the new Borg Warner extended tip turbos.

I'm using the Garrett GT3076R w/ .82 A/R exhaust housing on a 1.6L B6T. The GTX rods are good up to around 400HP for quite a long time. I've pushed the small B6 rods to 400+WHP and they took it for over 10,000 miles @ 26psi on pump gas.

I believe the GTX engine is a poor choice for high poweroutputs.
If i recollect correctly it`s a 1.6l with 165hp stock.

For the amount of power you are aiming for, a 1.8 BP with forged internals, port & polish and a t3/t04e should be able to make between 3 & 400hp.

well a B6T can take quite a bit of abuse, as it has some of the strongest rods stock, easily make 300WHP on stock inturnals. a N/A B6 can make that much and have decent longevity if its tunned properly.

if your using, a B6 the easiest is to use a B6T turbo manifold and a VJ14. they can boost up to 14psi pretty easy. that will put you around the 180WHP mark. if you want more power use a B6DE motor which is found in the 94-96 MX3, and on the same boost stock for stock you will make about 160 WHP where the GTX B6 will only make about 130WHP. so the DE is really the way to go. ultimatly the BP is the way to go, but really only if your going to change out your trans too.

but there are several options for turning the VJ14 into a hybrid. and you can make as much as 250WHP depending on the hybrid. you can get the exhause side bored out alittle and do a VJ14/VF12 which is probably the biggest you can go.
