body harness questions

ive got a 93 mx3 gs engine harness in my 94 escort wagon.I went to junkyard today to find a 5spd body harness that runs from headlights,through the firewall,and under the dash along with the ignition switch.There were no gs's but they have a few rs's.They have auto and 5spd but the only 5spd has the sohc.Are the rs body harness's compatible with the gs engine harness? I just want my car to run correctly so im not worried about fog lights or other gs only luxuries.Could i just pull the rs harness and use that instead or do i have to keep searching for a gs harness only?
