Has anybody done a b6t swap?

Post by 94blaze1.6 »

Just wondering because it seems like an easier swap for my b6 dohc then the bpt or bp for that matter. Has anybody done one? According to the wiki page it came in the 323 gtx which came as a surprize to me because I thought it came with the bpt...Are these engines hard to come by?

corksport is stating the b6t has 132 hp...WTF is that. The turbo only yields 30hp??? How is that possible? Does anybody know what the stock boost level is on those things?

i dont know........ i tried it and well the motor blew..... they can go i had mine at around 14 psi and was driving it for about 2 days or so and the oil pump died so there went the end of that. i liked it but i would probably just put b6t internals into a b6de block since the wiring will be right and you wont have to spice into every wire. i used the b6de head on the b6t block and well needed to block 2 oil galleries on the front of the block, which was a pain in the arse. so im working on saving up cash and putting the b6t internals into my spare b6de block.

Are you planning on turboing that later... Using our blocks with the b6t internals woud be like having the b6t minus the turbo lol right? What kind of power gains would you get from upgrading internals? In a perfect world I would do the bp/bpt swap but I since our cars are dohc the wiring is a pain, thats why I am even considering the b6t. Anyway I am working my a-- off so I can do A SWAP this winter I dont know wich one. I wish there was a bp swap write up for the dohc guys.
