I HATE CUSTOMS AND CABLE COMPANIES GRRRRRR...

Ok well I gave a call to Corksport and they are currently battling out with customs for my GTR wiring harness and ECU which are needed to run my car if I don't want to go standalone. Unfortunatly they want to charge Corksport more for the goods and hopefully it won't be charged on me. Not only that Customs have held my goods in custody and Corksport are trying to get them and they are nice enough to let me have it on hold without paying.

Now for the Cable Company RANT!!! I hate Cable Vision. I have been disconnected on and off constantly and have the least amount of splitters going to my cable modem. I only have two splitters. ONLY 2!!! How the hell are you going to lose a signal with that little of an amount of splitters. Not only that my PHONE runs of the Cable Modem. I mean like WTF. Has anyone ever heard of this shiet before.

I had a signal problem too. I was in an old house, with tons of splitters under it. Could of had it fixed, but of course the cable company wants $150 for the service.

Umm I do tier 2 VOIP support for one of North America's largest cable company's, and 2 splitters will degrade the signal quite significantly, you loose 3.5 db on each split, and if you have 2 that means 7db, which will most likely make your modem flap, or have a tremendous amount of packet loss/latency, definatley bypass those splitter's and you will most likely have a good strong connection again.

Cheers!

Actually the cable guy came and hooked everything up the right way cause the first guy F-ed up a lot. So got a stronger signal with these different ones he just installed today and all I can say is, the internet is faster and my modem doesn't go on and off every 45 minutes.

thats why i dont even look at voip for our company. regardless of what kinda net connection you have, i'm sure you can recall within recent memory the last time your connection dropped, even if only for a few minutes or seconds. can you say the same about your phone line??

as for cable.. dss-newbies.net. one of my daily stops
