lately my car has had trouble over heating, well the timeing belt went out, so when we replaced the timing belt, we replaced the water pump too, , and we have all new hoses, which seemed to fix things, for a while. then, i cracked my radiator, whic was ok i guess, because it had never been replaced. but now its overheating again. something is pushing all the coolant back into the resevior causeing it to overflow, at the cost of haveing no water in the system, and eventually over heating, what could cause all the coolant to be pushed BACK into the resevior? please, this is causing me alot of frustration, ive been fortuanate not to loose my engine, but i can only get so lucky

thats kinda wierd :?

Were you the one who replaced your radiator? Did you block off any of the hoses while you had it out. Maybe you left one plugged? Maybe some hose ends swapped places, although I'd think that'd be obvious.

You check your thermostat?
Did you bleed your system for air?
Is the thermostat installed correctly? The bleed valve has to be pointed UP

I am concurring with Barry... Based on the issue you describe, I would ensure that matters with the thermostat are 'correct' - a) that it is working properly; and, b) that it is installed properly.

check both the thermostat and the pressure cap (the cap ontop of your radiator) if it is blown, it will allow expanding liquid inside the rad to excape into the overflow before it should. this COULD but probably wont cause overheating problems.
