trying to install disty

trying to install disty

i can physically fit the disty inside to match up on the cam...is there any diff sizes? the rotor seems the right size but it wont slide in. any help would be great

There are actually 2 types of rotor available for 94 cars - a large diameter shaft and a small diameter shaft.

I bought both sizes and kept the one that fit....

thnx aries but my model is 95 rs, the only two diff are the rotor is a bit biger but the diameter is still the same on the housing. i talked to this guy at this rebuild shop and he said the bigger rotors are usually for cars that are boostings, hence bigger cams. my dads gonna help me out when he gets home thnx though. :)

well we finally got it in, got it timed took it for a drive no more bucking but lol god for bid the air filter fell off the the connection to the maf came apart lol...but re did the tps, connected it all back up. oh do i have to reboot the computer u know disconect the battery then hold down the brake after 10 or 30 mins when i replace the disty?oh and thnx aries for ur reply :)

Its a good idea to reset ECU after major changes - so that the ecu will start from scratch and "learn" the new configuration.

Aries if you remember I replaced my disty a while back.
Do I need to reset my CPU. My MX- seems to running ok.
94 Mx-3 5 speed 4cyl B6 DHOC

How do you reset CPU? Thanks for any input? :D

Resetting the ECU helps a lot -

To reset - Disconnect battery -ve and push the brake pedal for 20 secs
