SHANNONVILLE TOMORROW ... SUNDAY JULY 16TH

Post by mymx.3 »

My Godson is not racing this year BUT his Dad has rented out the 2 Formula Fords and both are racing tomorrow.

One of the drivers is a "girl" :2thumbsup:

LOL

So I am planning on going there about 11ish tomorrow morning. I plan to call Hec tonight to see if it is still on tomorrow .. they were racing today also. So I'll post back the outcome of that.

Anyone interested .. come and join me

That's a great idea Krish. I know it's kind of short notice but if some of the Toronto area peeps like to meet up or contact Krish for a meet up spot there and then drive up. I could see who I could wrestle up and meet you guys enroute at one of the exits just before Shannonville. This could also be a good opportunity for those to see what Shannonville track looks like if one hasn't seen it before. Reason being is that there are a couple of open track days (Pay per lap) that are coming up with the next month and this would be an excellent opportunity for those who want to se if it's worth coming back up for one of those evenings.

So who from Belleville, Trenton, Brockville would like to spend a relaxed day at the track at Shannonvile? My number is in the contact list.

Hey, you guys missed out on a great day. Deb, Ian , Krish and I were there and got to watch a pile of races for free. Yes free, no entrance fee at all.... very nice. Just as the races were ending, the Southwestern 240 club showed up cause they had a track session lined up for themselves. Looked like some serious drifting action was going to happen since a good majority of them brought spare wheels for the track. Someone even trailer a pristine 91 Skyline GT-R. Twin turbo 2.6L AWD beauty with only 128,000 km on the clock .... wery nice indeed and very clean, inside and out. Anyway, I know it was short notice on this one, but sometimes those are the ones that turn out to be the best. The weather was super (hot) too.

Drifting???? Dang, that's what I thought they were going to do. How'd that Skyline do? I imagine the AWD isn't that great for drifting. You guys sure made a whole day of it though.
500Km to a tank, yep that's about my overall consumption when I come down to GTA for the meets too. Ya, I hope Ian can put some pics up of the drifting.

skyline only tried once and he was just getting to much grip so he would get half slides, but there was this white 240 which was doing excellent drifts, the rest were progressivly getting better but we left cuz of the long drive home
