What will the effects be if a v6 engine ticking is neglected a little longer then usual? Just curious cuz I know repair costs for an mx3 r quite steep.

That ticking noise your probably hearing is very common. Somthing to do with a type of bushing. Mine did it from 240,000km up to 423,000km and never bothered it.

Try a search under cam friction gear or better still "HLA". You'll find all you need to know about the MX's tick. Hey, why not try "tick" in your search parameters also. Don't forget to include the V6 performance forum in your search parameters. good luck,

John
