well im newer to Mx-3's done all the work on this car so far, new ball joints rear brakes. ect. so i been tring to take car and solve of all my problems my self so i can aford to..

Anyways. i have a problem. when ever i turn on my A/C i get screaching.. just as im letting off my cluch it screaches for a bit.. not always but most the time.. so is the A/C on its own belt, does it have a tensioner.. anyone had this problem before.. any help would be great.. Thanks in advance..

sounds like time for a new belt. I cant remeber as i removed my AC but i think its on the same belt as teh alternator.

anyone know for sure?.. theres so little room under these hoods.. will i be able to change belt easily? anyone done this?

Dont need to remove the AC. it iS the same belt with the ALT. theres a tensioner u just losen from the top of the motor bay near the oil dipstic. it looks liek a long bolt just going down to no where. turn that till the belt gets loose enough to take off. if its nto getten loose...turn it the other way.
