stainless lines..

umm dunno where to put this one lol but does anyone know of any place where i can get stainless steel hose but will accept pay pal? i need like 20-25 feet of it..

I recommend using the teflon lines or you might as well get oem replacements. I've worked with both teflon and rubber braided lines. There's a bit of a trick to using teflon lines but it can be a DIY project. I made numerous teflon lines for my motorcycle's front and rear brakes, clutch line and for an external oil cooler. Know well ahead of time how much line you need and always bank on pooching a few lines when you first start (read - get extra line just in case). I'll give you a few links and you'll have to source a hydraulics supplier near your residence to get what you need. Aeroquip is probably the biggest name in the biz and there are a few others. I was fortunate enough to work at a place that relies heavily on these items for aircraft. I would take my finished lines to one of the test shops where I work and get the final readings on the lines capacity. Basically certain AN size lines are required to provide a minimum amount of pressure tolerance which all of my lines passed with flying colours. 17 years later those lines are still in use and show no signs of fatigue. That's mostly why I opted to replace all of my high pressure lines on the MX with teflon braided lines too.

To prevent any down time and if your fortunate enough, why not get a set of old lines from the jukyard. That way you'll know the minimum lengths and the exact termination fittings needed. You may have to use some standard to metric fittings, but I'm not sure. Only because I had to because metric still wasn't as popular as it is today.

wow thx john! i was just thinking of renewing my hole gas line front to back with stainless braided hose as mine has just rotted all out and broke... then i go to find my brke line rotted and broke :( but that wont be stainless hose lol

Duncan, Braided rubber line should be fine for the fuel line and it's much cheaper too. If you're going to use teflon braded line, use it on the brake lines. Due to the much higher pressures and the heat build-up, not to mention a much better brake feel and less appreciable brake fade. Since they're brake lines you won't need as much line for that. I would also recommend that when doing the brake lines in teflon braided lines that you make each line a tad bit longer than the original oem rubber lines. Simply because the teflon braided lines don't bend or flex as easily as the rubber lines so sharp bends will have to be compensated for by an extra amount of length.
Rubber braided lines for the fuel and teflon braided lines for the brakes, good luck.

Are you going to use any of that teflon stuff to patch/replace the hard lines? Is that safe?

i was planning on usinig stailess rubber lines from gas tank to fuel rails...itll be safe. for the brake lines well i just replced those with new oem hard lines and the flex lines will be stainless teflon at some point...
