Parked my car in the garage over the weekend and went away with a friend to London. It had been pretty cold outside when I left but the weather has been great since I got back.

Drove my car out of the garage and the 1st gear feels totally different. Clutch doesnt seem to be slipping as much. Really pulls the car.. especailly in the 4000RPM range. Before i had to shift into second around 20kmph, now it is really giving a lot of torque up to 25-30km/h.

Could the really cold weather have been effecting my car performance this much? Is this a symptom of a deeper problem?

Well, cold weather will affect the performance to a degree. Nothing major I don't think though.

warm weather = less time to warm up the transmission and engine

I find that too. Yesterday when it was nice and warm, my car shifted so much more sweetly. Still need a new clutch and flywheel though........engine mounts.......
