I just installed ZX2 Tokico struts with Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs. After installation, I noticed that my rear tires are rubbing the strut base by a hair or two. I'm running stock rims (15x6JJ with offset 45mm) on P205/60R15 tires. I still need to take it in for a 4-wheel alignment, but was wondering if anyone experience this type of problem with this setup? Don't really want to put spacers, heard that they might lower the performace of my suspension. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

had the same problem. I had a choice of running thinner tires or spacers. I chose the spacers with extended wheel studs.

Did you just add spacers to the rears and not the front? Roughly how much did it cost? Do it yourself or a Shop?

fitted fine on mine even on 205-55-15 so ya probably the height of your tire is the problem here. I remember mine was tight

Well it looks like I need to get thinner tires... Thanks everyone for their input!! Is it possible to run P205/60R15 In the front and P205/55R15 in the rear??

I suppose you could, would look kinda goofy though It's just not the right size.

205/50/15 would be your target tire size.

Then 205/50/15 it is... I eventually want to slap some 17's on my car, would I be looking for 205/50/17 as well?

Whoa!! If he's got a GS, that's NOT the right size. For a V6, the size is 205/55/15.

And if you're going to 17's later, you want 205/45/17 or 205/40/17. Both strattle the correct outside diameter the 205/55/15 provides.

Thanks for the info.. sounds like the 205/55/15 would be the best bet, since I do have a GS. And thanks for the 17's tire specs...

I tend to disagree, I had the same issue with my 205/50/15's with my lowering, the problem was the camber making the tire touch the strut, but in your case the tire maight be to tall, but should be ok, at one time I was running a 195-65-15 and it did not rub either, get your camber set whe you do the alignment and that may cure it.

what wheels were you using?

I figure my rubbing may have something to do with the 215/35r18 tires on there.

And to answer your earlier question, I just put them in the rear not the front. Front fit perfect. I brought in a rotor to a machine shop and had them machine me spacers based off the mounting surface on the rotor to the size I wanted. Bought the extended lugs, and bolted it all up myself. Machine shop charged me something like $80CAD to build them if I remember properly.
