auto tranny with BPT

I was told that the the 4cyl auto tranny could not hold a turbo, because it is too weak and would blow. Is this correct? would a BPT work with a auto tranny? need help before i buy the BPT... thanks

The general agreement here in the forum is that you can bolt on the 4 cyl ATX to the BPT engine - but it will not last very long. The ATXs seem to be notorious for breaking down even with the stock engine.
