And it's a GS! (but an automatic, finally gave up on learning the manual...)
I'll be posting pictures soon! Had to go from Murfreesboro TN to Tampa, FL, but she was worth it.
92, Black, but that's as far as we'll go cause the interior needs WORK, and their are other problems too (tranny obviously, plus alt, plus, plus, plus)
So take part in my poll, please (keep in mind, girl car!)

If you do a pink i think it should be a darkish hot pink... That might look really good. What will you be painting, the vents and console and stuff? are you gonna reapolster the seats and doors with colors to match? or do you have seat covers?
+ welcome to mx-3.com

I was thinking a hot pink originally, but I'm debating the concept of others...
The guy who owned it previously has painted the doors but it's sloppy and needs to be redone. I was going to do it all, from the steering wheel to the upholstery and eventually accents on the outside of the car.
The colors currently are black and red but he must've gotten different door panels and a different dash because the headliner and a-pillar are grey. This car was definately a work in progress (the mx was his rainy day car- he had a motor cycle), so she's been terribly abused (like, there wasn't any oil in her, and he said he kept regular maintenance, but I'm pretty sure oil is right on top with essential fluids)...
Many have tried to teach me the manual, but they've given up or I have. Plus I just do city driving and I don't want the constant hastle, especially the way people in this town drive...
No, not my first car, but the first car I've ever wanted and fully owned. I had a bonneville financed but it was out of necessity...
I hope to have this car for a *long* time, and I'll do whatever I need to in order to keep her running..
Ah, never enough of me to go round...
Thanks for the welcomes!!

Hi there, if you're wanting to keep it forever, best you check out the auto tranny section!
Once you've fixed the trans, get an oil cooler installed...., probably best if you do this before you start on the interior, you don't want to be spending money on the interior only to find the tranny is gonna cost an arm 'n a leg....., just my 2c

Yup, knew that part already, but thank in case I didn't
All the mechanical issues come first, but I have a list of priorities for cosmetic as well, and decent interior is first, then I'll worry about what I actually want.
I have the luck of having a bf who had an mx until someone hit him, so I have help with the simple maitenance. We also have a Chilton's manual for the more complex stuff (though it's going to the shop this weekend for tranny repair)...
I am lacking the upholstery skills though, and that's something I'm going to try to keep cheaper and attempt myself...this may make me a fool, but I'm already that in most people's eyes for driving to Tampa.

Dont repaint the interior. Pick up stock interior pieces from the junkyard of whatever needs to be replaced, put them in the car and call it a day. Stock=Clean.

Well if you're gonna try 'n do it yourself, i remember reading a 'how-to' on upholstering the seats....., it was quite some time ago though!
I say, if you're gonna keep it, go with the pink...., but if there's a chance you might want/need to sell it later on, pink probably won't help
