Its not a AGP model, its PCI-E so that's the difference AGP cars are slower only run at 8x and they are cheaper in price, PCI-E is more expensive. The card im selling costs 500$ retail here is a link to one of the major Computer sotres in Toronto. http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.ph ... id=999.243

And for it being SLI capable its not but its Crossfire. But there is a way to run Crossfire with two ATI video cards on a SLI mobo.

$350 OBO

AGP offers way better rendering capabilities if you have the ram and processing capabilities to match the card such as my 256 ATI AGP card and 2.8 Ghz. I haven't ran into anything that can produce clearer graphics and resolution. So before you say PCI is faster or better than AGp, Just understand that PCI slots were originally intended for very low end devices. Ie : Modems, Sound Cards, Bus Controllers. Anywho, not to nag you or anything but you are asking a little too much I believe for it. You should put it on ebay and you might get that price for it.

Good luck.

and I also didn't realize he's talking CAD maybe, so $350 would be $299USD, if thats what you meant, it well is alittle better, but I still think it's high, you can't get anywhere close to what you paid for in computer parts, you gotta remember, everything computer wise goes out real quick....

you are actually wrong. The PCI-E is actually faster then AGP. The PCI-E (E is for EXPRESS) runs with 16x, where your AGP runs max 8x. I understand your confusion with the old PCI which were created for the components you mentioned.

Just thought I should clear this out.

The card he's selling is actually quite good.

I agree that he should better try to sell it on E-bay. After all, this is an MX-3 related site and not another online auction house for various items.

i gotta agree on w/verzutiko on that speed issue. pci-e16x is quicker than agp8x. and if it can do crossfire... even better. depends on your mobo tho.

Actually, I believe you're wrong as well...

Think of it the way. AGP is an 8-lane hwy (4 each way). PCI-e is a 16 lane hwy, yes, but the lanes are 1/2 as wide... The video card apperatures allow the same volumes for both. AGP is being phased out because of PCI-e's X-fire (SLi) capabilties.

Mmmm... Dual X1800xt's...

When this thing hits 88mph, you're gonna see some serious TIHS...!
