Has anyone had experience with the Raybestos "PG Plus" front disc pads? If so, are they any good?
Cheers

I think i've seen them on ebay before but kind of disregarded them because i've never seen them prior to that day.

i have raybestos (sp?) pads all around, but i can't find my packaging to tell me exactly which model pads they are. if those are the ones i have, i'm not found of them. they work really well, but there's a lot of brake dust on the inner side of the wheel all the time now. again, not 100% sure on if they are the same.

Thanks guys. There was some on ebay here and I'd never heard of them. Seems like they went broke some time in the past (asbestosis litigation) so I can't really put it together who they are. Just wondering if they are any good or not.
Cheers

raybestos is a low cost brand of oem replacement brakes. they'll do the job... i think pg plus is the higher end that can take more of a beating from stop and go... this is the brand i can pick up a the local parts store (kragen)

they are decent in terms of build-quality but the materials suck ballz at gripping the rotor.
I have them on my slowtege & they are sub-par at stopping the car...but installing them was easy b/c they weren't shoddily made like "wearevers" or "duralasts"

To add to this thread, the previous owner of my car gave me a new set he intended to install, but ended up going to a shop with thier in house brand. So when those wore out I put the Raybestos PG Plus on my car. They SUUUUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKKKKK. The old cheap organic pads were better. I even thought it might be old rotors, so I replaced 3 of the 4 rotors. Didn't make a difference. I've got to get something else this spring, or I'm going to get into an accident with these pieces of s---.

many believe raybestos are premium even performance-pads.
That couldn't be further from the truth. Their quality is good I guess, but think of them strictly as OEM replacement pads that will produce PLENTY of brakedust.
The PG Plus's I have on my slowtege were ORGANICS and not semi-metallics like the stupid box said. Seeing how our cars need semi-met's on the front the performance is pretty crappy with the organics.

This is probably legacy thinking. In the 80's you either bought Raybestos or Bendix. Everything else was crap.
