what are you doing with the vj20 turbo???

Well that vj20 there has the housing on it that I broke when I did some damage to the car.. You can see its cracked on the outlet.. So I actually have 2 vj20's, that one there and the one on the car.
I suppose Ill sell the one I have on the car along with the manifold, by the sounds of things youd like to have it.. The one on my car is polished just like my new one too.. Looks really cool. Im also going to sell my SAFC II since it will be useless when I get the haltech so Ill have to see if anyone wants to buy that. I think I might hang on to my bp26 ecu for a bit since it is a hard item to come across but if I get tight for money I guess ill sell that too although id hate to. Finding those is like finding a diamond.

Check out how I have the heat shields and turbo polished on the car now..

why are you going so big franko? What are you HP goals? Better be at least 350whp, and when you doing an AWD conversion? FWD is gonna get really boring when you can't use your first 3 gears :)

IT's not too big. A T3 super 60 is a well matched turbo for the 1.8.

Haltech E6x i presume?

E6X yes :)
Jaydog is right about the turbo.. Ive spent alot of time searching for the right turbo for the car. Any bigger than this and there is going to be some spooling issues but the one I got is ideal. Will flow good for daily driving and give good midrange torque also when I pull to redline it will have a good thermal efficency not heating up the air too much. Im aiming for roughly 250 - 300 whp hopefully. Ill have to see how far I can go on our supreme gas here so Ill have to see how it works out.

AWD is great for the launch but its alot of extra weight to the car and alot more crap that the engine has to spin even before it gets the power to the ground. Ill stick with my fwd for now.. Im going to have to get some kind of lsd for the car or something because this one wheel peel gets annoying fast. Lsd gives good traction for what I need, unless youre trying to get into the 10's with 1000 hp.. Awd might be appropriate in that case. :P

For the power that the T3 is going to make I'd go for the gusto and get the Quife LSD over the MS version. My LSD (stock Mazda J-Spec Mx-6 LSD) is similar in design to the MS one and it cannot hold all the launch power of the ZE. I can break the clutches in the LSD loose easy in first gear and in second if I let the clutch loose too quickly at a high RPM shift. Both require custom axles and the install is basically the same so all your paying is the extra money for the diff. IMO it would be well spent. After paying 800 (600 for the trans and 200 for the axle) I would rather have gotten a Quife and paid another 800 and had permanent 2 wheel drive.

Well all I have to say is that I talk to a guy that had a Super 60 on his BPT in his escort and he said the first three gears all have wheel spin. He has a quife lsd and at 15 psi he said it is getting boring just spinning so much. So he decided to sell his super 60. He is working on a AWD or RWD setup right now.

It is a great turbo for the 1.8L, I never said it was too big, I was just asking why he was going straight from small to big, esspecially when he is gonna have traction problems.

It is....I'm taking it up a notch with a GT series turbo in the future.

It's funny, even with the VJ-20, there aren't too many cars that can accelerate like my Mazda except for the higher end rwd sport cars. With a GT28/71R, it will be a whole new ball game...
