hey,
after searching for a long time, i found a bunch of threads that said we can order parts from mx-6 or millenia, but i couldn't find what years specifically to get parts from.
i saw that you can order parts from a US 92-97 millenia, but what about the mx-6?
btw, once the answer is posted, can we sticky this or put it into the faq?

My addition to the stupidity:
ok so to do a engine rebuilt (assuming your keeping the camshaft, headers, intake and pistons) for the KLZE you would use a rebuilt kit for a 2.5 millenia or a kit from the 2.3 miller millenia?

that's what i thought, but there seems to be price and part # differences for different years/models for the same part. why would that be?
btw, i believe the millenia 2.3L was supercharged, so i'm not too sure the kit would be the same.

Not only is it supercharged, it's a miller cycle engine. The supercharger is part of it's functionality...here's a quote from howstuffworks.com
A Miller-cycle engine depends on a supercharger.
A Miller-cycle engine leaves the intake valve open during part of the compression stroke, so that the engine is compressing against the pressure of the supercharger rather than the pressure of the cylinder walls. The effect is increased efficiency, at a level of about 15 percent.
The engine in the Mazda Millenia is a 2.3 litre, quad cam V6 which is designed to perform better than a larger 3.0 litre engine but with the efficiency of a smaller (2.0L) unit.
It provides the driver with high performance coupled with between 10 and 15 percent less fuel consumption.
But considering it's NOT a 2.5l engine, it would be stupid to try, especially with the half-dozen other choices you have for 2.5l parts, why take the risk for ordering parts from a 2.3l, unless you know specifically thats what you want and if they will work (ie: injectors).

The rods from the milleniaS (2.3L supercharged miller cycle, aka the KJ series of engines) are commonly used when rebuidling KL engines for boost.
If you search around there are plenty of aftermarket rebuilt kits for the 2.5 KL series engine.
