dude if you're looking for just Steve's opinion on it..
send him a Private Message
I would suggest that you read on probetalk to catch up on how a MegaSquirt works.. Steve wasnt born on this earth smart.. He read probetalk and other places to learn all this stuff
Why should you get the easy way out?
Start by reading and finding out some of the basic stuff, and then come back with specific questions.. ones that are easier to answer (without having to write a manual on how to tune a car. Don't make other people do all the work for you.

Actually at first, It seemed a lot of work to have it up installed and running good. But months before I made my purchase, I read and studied on it. I made my own diagram before I even got the MS. so once I got it it was easy to install and everything went just fine as planned.
for the tuning phase. what I suggest is before installing it play with it a little. check what can you do and stuff like that and keep reading on it too.
Once you're going to have it install, use a base map from somebody else to get it started and play with it while the car is running, you'll see how it reacts and stuff like that. Once you play with it a little you get used to it. I learned new things everyday on it that makes me like it even more.
If you have other questions we can talk on msn or aim.
