What's going on with my car?

Post by TR3X86 »

I can't seem to diagnose my car trouble...

The best way to explain the problem is that when I'm sitting at a stop light, my engine seems to be "hicuping" every so often. Then when I start accelerating, it almost feels like something is slipping or stripped because its jumping and jerking with no power.

I just got a tune-up that replaced spark plugs, fuel injection, and air filter. What else could it be?

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

i just had the exact same type of symptoms. turns out one of my plug wires was broken and a piece of it was still on the plug when you pull it out. Got new wires, plug, rotor and cap, and all of a sudden it went away.

If they replaced your fuel injection in the tune up it must have been expensive!!! J/K!!!

Hiccuping is normally an ignition problem.
