ok i went outside and checked my prc hook up, i had one hose dangling from the stock airbox and i connected it to my cai. i noticed though that the hoses were not connected as in the diagram in the online manual F2-007. so i looked and i had the single hose going to the regulator and the hose that splices i had one going to the intake manifold and the other to the cai. the diagram says that it should have the single hose connected to the cai and the spliced hose going to the regulator and to the intake manifold. could some one please varify this as correct? cuz when i rearanged the hoses i got code 25, which is prc valve (regulator pressure control). thanks

oh and just to verify the prc is located near the front of the engine bay, correct? it is not the selinoids connected to the back of the intake manifold? thanks

Ryan, I know it sometimes can become confusing. Look to previous threads that I have addressed this issue. Your PRC is a solenoid that originally resided/attached beside the oem airbox. It had 2 vaccum lines attached. One from the FPR and the other back to the EGR (I think). In any case your FPR needs to be connected to that PRC. The previous posts wrt CAI and vaccum problems will be your best search parameters. Hope this helps.

That is exactly what i needed to know, thanks john. i know i have alot of problems but it is because i tried to do things on my own before and messed things up by not labeling them. so now i am trying to set things straight with my motor. i had the line going from the FPR straight to one of the selinoids to the back and the line that was supposed to be going to the FPR was instead dangling (this is from even before the engine swap i think, when i first installed the cai) and having a vacuum line dangling is not a good thing. so i think my prc is screwed.

does anybody in calgary have a used prc selinoid that they would be willing to sell?
