Beeping never stops

Post by Corso »

hey guys i saw a post about this somewhere but it didnt really help me at all, whenever i open driver door or passenger door, it beeps, for no good reason. The lights are off and i beleive my deck is wired right cause i got a shop to do it but i'll double check, is there anything else that would cause this constant beeping?

Yeah, when you're keys are in the ignition and you have a door open, the car beeps. Same if you leave the lights on.

true that, is there anyway to turn that default option off without pulling fuses or cutting wires? or is cutting wires the only options lol.

Does it do it constantly or only when the door is open and the keys are in the ignition or the lights are on? If it does it constantly then there's a problem. If it only does that when the door is open and the keys are in or the lights are on it is just a reminder beep to help remind you to do something before locking up.

I'm sure you could disable it but why? I guarentee if you do that you will end up locking your keys in the car or leaving the lights on and waking up to a dead batt. :?

Why would you want to do that?

the Warning beep has saved me several times from leaving lights on or leaving the keys in the car.

Its a damn annoying beep though - wonder if it could be changed to a different sound???

Change it like a cell phone ring tone to something like the Mazda jingle zoomZOOMzoom.
While we are changing anoying sounds lets talk about a little more manly horn. Instead of "meep"=excuse me I want to say "HONK"=Move Beeyach

Ya, the keeping has saved me from locking my keys in the car, or leaving the lights on, but it would be nice to be able to work on the car, with the music on, and not have that damn beeping driving me up the wall

Boom Box Dude...I know you won't be able to feel the Bass if you have a sub in your car but there is a simple solution to everything...no need to go hacking at wires trying to stop the beeping. Just take the keys out and plug in a radio.

Make sure you don't have a burned out dome light that is on.
