All i did was took the time and cut out the holes wtih a dremel and a few cuting disks (you know there is a fine steal plate in thoes boards) Then i just screwed in the speakers and wired them up to my other speakers so i got 4 4way speakers and my front 3way speakers.

Well remember see that 15in sub i am not looking for bass out of my speakers. But ya thats true i need to rebuild it. Because the board is brakeing down the middle. so i am jsut going to make a little board big enough where i can fight both 6x9's on it.

OR, you could just install factory sized 6.5's in the stock location and you wouldnt have 2 big holes in your cargo cover..... Looks alright but i dont think i would cut up my cargo cover,,,

Amen...too many people are looking for ones in good condition because they break so easily as it is.

You should enclose your 6x9's in the back... this will make them sound more better and more bass'ier.

Also when you split up your wires with the 6.5"'s in the back, your 6x9's won't get as much power and won't sound as good.

Yeah I cut up my cover... and recovered it cause I had a 12" sub in the back facing forward cause to me it sounded better. Putting holes in the cover made it sound waaay more better.

But the other week I found a new cover and snatched it up.

I did it the easy way.

I removed the cover (and backseats and all interior) altogether :)

Doing some custom fabrications for my Stereo now.
Have to keep the weight as low as possible, but still make it look decent.

Gonna fiberglass from behind the doors and all the way around back.
1 layer, just to get stiffness, and cover it with some carpet.

Will be pics as soon as the show is on the road :)
(I removed the cover etc. due to my rollcage)

As you can see, it looks less than pretty :) (but it`s functional)

ugh....i've never seen such a perfect-condition cargo cover....now it is ruined :(

and i agree with what others are saying. Get some enclosures and you'll nut all over the dash when you hear how different & awesomer they will sound. I have some 6x9 boxes my buddy gave me, shoved some generic 6x9 speakers i had in m ycloset and used my amp to power them, i was very impressed with the frequency range they could output.

I made some enclosures in teh stock 6.5" locations in the rear by sealing off the area they mount in & insulating it with cotton guaze.

Why is because i have 6.5 in there to! And incloseing 6x9's doesn't help with anything all you get is more bass out of them thats it. The sound doesn't change with the speakers.
