Hi i was playing with my mx-3 today..... I accelerated in first up to 6000 rpm then i tried to switch it into 2nd somehow it skipped out of my hand and remained in neutral and when i accelerated all i've seen was 7000+.... Doesn't the car have a limiter? Should i be worried about it....
Btw i am running the stock V6 1.8

ever played need for speed underground? when it cuts its ounds like when u rev one of those cars in 1st gear and leave it in 1st gear. :) also happens in any racing game when u drive off and leave it inj 1st gear. (I accidentally did that) so yeah it cuts off likie that.

revving it with no load (not in gear) is foolish and will ruin the engine in no time

stock redline on k8 should be 7000, w/fuel cutoff around 7200.

yeah its noit bad..but after a while your engine will start wearing out :P and it does go a bit over 7000 while in gear. Ive done it a few times. Make sure you have some really good oil and none of that thin crap if you plan on doing this often. No to lucas oil treatment!!! it foams at high speeds .
