Okay, My car is a 94 Mazda MX-3 4-Cylinder only mods I did to it is put a Sebring Tuning 3" Exhaust on it in case some of you might not know and everytime I up-shift, accelerate the car misses like V-r-r-r-r-r-r-o-o-o-o-m. This is the 3rd time it happened to me. I keep going to the Mazda mechanic place and they changed the O2 Sensor. was fine until two weeks later it did it again. took it back to the shop. they changed the cap and rotor and the car was fine until three weeks later. Is it because the car is too old?, Is it because my Exhaust is too old and I need a new exhaust?. Please help me someone.

Check ur clutch disk (hope thats the good translation)
If it only happens in second gear.... is it accompanied by a squish sound right before?

Might be the 2nd gear lost some teeth

Okay thanks. and it does this on first second and sometimes third. Like I shift to 3rd, car goes vr-r-r-rrr-r-r-rrrr-r so I shift back to second and its fine.

Change the plugs if you don't know how old they are and make sure the gap is right, then go to the online shop manual on this site and troubleshoot it.

You really need to get it changed then. Because if anything you are loseing the little bit of power the car has.

Try doing the easy stuff first to see if that will fix it. Change your plugs and plug wires and if it still does it i would try the disty before the clutch.
Cause i know in our cars the disty is one of the most common things to fail mine did 2 weeks ago. So try those first and if it still dosent fix the problem then go for the clutch.

I wouldnt just start replacing things just cause it might be the problem. Take it to a shop that gives free quotes and see what they tell you and come back here and let us know how it goes.
