I have done it.

If you get all of your parts from the junkyard- you should be able to do it for under $1000 for sure.

Here is my parts list from my swap: (Includes a Motor swap as well)

Here is my journal of the swap- complete with pics:

Good luck!

i ended up buying a donor car for this, quicker and easier than tracking down all the parts, got ripped on the car, was going to use it for a winter car but i dont think i can get it road worthy. going to contact the owner and try working something out.

I remember someone said $600 (US) bucks for such a swap
That is if everything is used
If you just buy the tranny used and get everything new, it should cost about $1000.

I got 5 questions for you

1.) Did you do a engine swap at the same time?
2.) Where did you get the parts from (tranny, clutch, flywheel, ect)?
3.) Brand new parts or used?
4.) How long did it take you (in days/hours) to do the swap?
5.) How much expirence did you have before doing the swap?

just curious

1.) No.
2.) Ebay.
3.) Used.
4.) 4 hours a night for 4 nights.
5.) I had almost no experience while my 17 yr old friend who's dad is a mechanic did most of the work.

Best of luck.
