I was working on the car and had to get the right belt that goes on the steering and water pump. while i was gone my girlfriend drove my car to the grocery store and back. All the fluid boiled out of the overflow and now i can't get my pump to move any water. Ist it bad or do i need to prime it or what????

yeah, it didn't blown the head gaskets and from what i can tell it didn't warp the heads either, but i haven't pulled them off yet. i just cant get the pump to move any water. the pulley spins with the belt..... it just won't move water

Theres no pressure in lines when the engine is running or rapped up and I can't actually see the water moving. This is the first car I've owned and in some trucks you can see the water moving through the fill opening, i don't know if its the same in cars. When the engine is rapped to 3-5 rpms i can squeeze the main return line closed with my hands

Did you uncork the radiator cap and fill the radiator, or did you just fill the overflow? You need to pull off the radiator cap and fill the radiator to the top. Make sure you squeeze the water lines to push out the air bubbles.

Then cap it and warm the car up, let it cool down, take the cap off again and top it off.
