I am in the process of setting up a front strut bar that will be flat and have MX-3 hollowed out in the middle. I was wondering if there is any interest in this? I have a meeting with the shop next week I hope, and I should know a cost soon.

I dont think they should be that bad. I am gonna shoot for between like 40-75? I will know for sure once I figure in cost and all. I'll keep ya updated.

for that price id definatly be in.
another question though, ive heard that the regular bars dont clear the intake manifold on ze's, if this is true, will these bars clear the manifold?

Interesting. I was unaware of this. I will have to find someone to measure the clearance necessary and maybe make a custom one for that application.

Ya....I could look into a one piece. I have the 3 piece now, and am going to use it as a sort of guide. I am waiting on Teal_93 to do his swap so I can make sure I can clear the V6 with a swap. Also, has anyone with the B6T (where the intake comes over the valve cover), had issues with clearance, or is it to far foward? I have not seen a good photo that shows me.

around half way down you can see his strut bar makes it over it just fine

i can't seem to find any pics of an mx-3 with the b6t swap but i'll keep looking

I found one today. It looks like it clears it. The manifold sits farther forward. So...all I need to do is wait on to see a car with a DE or ZE swap, so I can try and avoid the problems that the current bars seem to have.

Ractive strut bar just barely clears my ZE with Millennia IM. As advised on ZE swap info the bolts for the cover plate on the IM must be changed to a lower profile dome or button style bolt. With adjusting bolts on either end of strut tower plate the bar is tilted slightly to the rear for clearance. To be extra safe, I slightly ground underside of strut bar - perfect. It's so close though that you can barely see outline of strut bar on hood insulation. That's close, but it works well.

the strut bars will clear KL-DE intakes, its just the Millenia/KL-ZE intake that it wont clear without mods
