Calgary guys - opinion Q (OT)

My wife and I are trying to sell our 2bd, 2 bath, top floor condo in Evergreen right now. We were listed with a realtor but the price with realtor fees was just too high. Now we are trying the welist thing in order to be competitive on the price. In addition to the welist website, I was going to run around and try to get exposure on various bulletin boards in malls/grocery stores down South here and that kind of thing.

Does anybody here have any other ideas of where to put up info for our place in Calgary? I thought about downtown as the C-train is a 3 minute drive away, and the C-train moves at 80km/h so it doesn't take long to reach downtown. Although our place may appeal more to people looking to walk to Fish Creek or drive to Bragg Creek or Kanaskis.

Has anybody tried advertising their own place before and explored different options or have ideas that may work? I think it will sell to someone looking for the area in general, but just looking for ways to target the area.

Thanks,

Well your doing the right thing, Kyle, with listing on the Internet. Just make sure your listing looks good and that you have really appealing photos. People are more attracted to what they can see. I find the boards in stores and shops are now very effective. At least not with anyone serious about buying.

I was thinking the same thing about beyond. I posted in their marketplace a couple of days ago and it had 140 views or so..

If you want to give any feedback on the ad and pics that I currently have up.. see if it makes you interested in coming to look, or if it's simply too wordy, let me know. I should get a picture on a sunnier day of the outside. http://welist.com ad#14087

Thanks for the opinions thus far.
