Hi

I am able to get JDM used glass mx-3 headlights. How much should i pay? I am being told $225cdn. Is that too much? I am thinking of offering $100cdn.

Thanks

If $225 is for the pair its cheap! Glass ones are about AU$300 each over here from the wreckers, and they were standard for our spec.

Question for u since u have these. The bulbs appeared different from our canadian 9004. They had 3 pins. Any idea what bulbs yours uses? Also cab u fit H4's in them easily and are the bright?

thanks

I have a set of J-Spec headlights (plastic) that I paid $300 CDN for. As Grants said $225 CDN is a damn-good deal.
Grants, correct me if I'm wrong, but The AUS and E-Spec were the only ones that were glass. And I believe that they were a somewhat clear glass lense (minus all of that NA-Spec light scattering ribbing / edges inside the lense).
My J-Spec lights use an H4 bulb.

They have H4 bulbs and the light output is excellent. Better than your average car on the road. No complaints like there seems to be about the NA spec ones.

They are glass but still have the ribbing. I don't know exactly what specs had the glass lenses as there are plastic ones (still with H4 bulbs) available here in Australia as well. Maybe Mazda don't make the glass ones anymore - only reason I can think why there would be plastic ones here at all.

Heres a couple of pics of them:

NA-Spec = 9004
J-Spec = H4
E-Spec (+AUS) = H4?

Yes but its not very difficult. Can you get H4 female plugs somewhere?

I believe I am getting them with the lights. So the wires should match up easy and the electrical voltage etc is the same?

The voltage will be the same but the wiring will need a bit of changing. You'll need to identify what is low beam (maybe red), high beam (maybe red-white) and ground going to your existing lights. You'll then need to work out what wire is each beam and ground on the H4 plugs. Let me know if you want me to check mine out for what each one is.
