Check the diagnostics yourself......black diagnostic box under hood(close to firewall, driverside) use a piece of wire or paper clip and jump it form TEN to GRND!! Turnthe key to the acc position and the code(s) will come up atthe check engine light(longer blinks and faster blinks) let us know what they are they we could help you out more!!

reply to joey on diagnostic

The code is "no G-signal" I think that it has something to do with the distributor!! Could check for bad cap/rotor, plugs, wires??

went to town bought cap and rotor-installed-wiped rotor out by rubbing on the cap bent rotor electrode over to one side -called auto store and he asked about a spacer-did not see spacer on old cap but from appearence of new cap spacer was needed

Follow this link & scroll to the bottom for 92 MX-3 Factory Manuals. http://www.books4cars.com/result2.htm?f ... &Submit=Go
Chilton's can get you through some stuff but can't beat the detail in Mazda Factory Shop Manuals. Not cheap but they pay for themselves many times over. If books4cars is more than you can spend, you'll see em on Ebay every so often usually at well under $50. Either the 92 or 93 factory manuals would cover your model.
