What other cars used the 1.6L DOHC motor?

Basically I am headed for the junkyards to dig up a distributor.. but I have heard that the engine in my 94 RS is one that has been used in various different vehicles.. anyone know what vehicles besides the MX-3 that could have the same engine and possibly the same distributor shaft? Any help is greatly appreciated

I beleive that the early Miatas used the engine, but I dont think they used our same distributor.

You many want to double check though.

Just wondering since there seems to be shared auto transmissions with some ford cars (probes & festiva's apparently) Just wondered if the also used this mazda engine as well. Lets face it.. A junk yard is going to put a higher $$$ on a mazda distributor than on a ford distributor even if they are identical parts

Plus if it is available in other makes of cars.. I have a better chance of finding one in decent condition.. Looks like a Reman Disty would be around $250.. if I can find one in a bone yard.. maybe as low as $20..
