im just wondering if it's bad or illegal to replace my mx3 guages with a low mileage?

because you could try to sell it as a lower miles car

Only if you register/sell it with the lower mileage number. If you don't plan on selling it, and you don't use it for insurance and suck, it's fine.

I belive you can goto the DMV and get a mileage statement before swapping it out. This will allow you to sell it legally, if you wanted to. You just have to give them ther statement when you sell it.

you can but you have to go to the dmv and insurence company here in bc, im going to be putting a different cluster in my car so im going to reset it to zero, just to keep track of the motor and tranny im sticking in. they just take your existing amount and keep it in the records, then add your new amount in.
