KL31, KL36 ecu identification?

How can I tell that an ecu is one of these? Is kl31 or 36 writen on the case? I'm assuming so, but i need to know for sure so I don't get ripped off.

It'll have a giant a-- sticker on it that says KL31 or KL36.
