Projector/halo Lights

Post by MikeUK »

OK lads there has been talk on this site for a long time about people producing Prjector lights for the MX, and still we dont have any.
I have found a place in the UK that wants to make these lights for our cars. But before they even start to look into making a mold they want to know how many people would be interested. Because it costs about £1500 to make the initial mold.

You lot are the firts to know.
I have asked the company to send me some pics of other work they have done so you know how good they are.

Sounds good :froggie_red: . Would be cool to see some pics of what they might look like, and previous work they have done.

Do they have a web site?

I would definetely be down with a pair.
Although, £300 is pretty expensive.
if they sell them for about £200, they would sell these by the bucket for sure.
I know atleast 3 or 4 people besides me, here in Norway who would get these for £200.
And if you look towards Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, and of course, USA & Canada, the first company to get these on the market, will sell loads if the price is right.
(and we all know you can make more money on a "cheap" part, if you sell enough, compared to a high price and sell less)

Ah well, I aint got my hopes too high yet...
Been a lot of talk on projector headlights, but no action, as of yet :)
But, please, keep us updated.

Of cource a lot of people will be interested, including myself. But there has been a lot of talk on this subject and not much action. So I guess people are getting sceptic. But if you can show a prototype that will change quickly.

Just thinking would these lights be road legal. Are they going to be E-marked or what ever, i am just thinking would be well gutted if spent 300 beer tokens on a class pair of lights and get mithered about em? Has any one else had bother from the cops about neons or what ever, if so what have they said caould they have a go about the lights? Would it be a case of putting the old ones back in come MOT time?

Nice one

literally half of the board would buy them if the price is right.

"Market research" (if you want to call it that) has been done SOO many times on this board for projector lights-- that its hard to keep a count.

Barry had a thread that was 250+ posts about the damn things.

Others have done the same thing.

Anytime people post pics of their custom jobs-- everyone posts back how they wish that someone made them.

I dont know why this isnt completely obvious by now & why people keep putting up new topics asking who is interested in projector headlights.

Just type the work projector headlight into the search function and you will get a million topics on the subject.
