although it may seem a bit 'weird' or dumb, this really makes the auto look way better than stock.<p>i used a hacksaw on mine. takes a bit of muscle and time since you need to cut it at weird angles and positions because of where the location of the shifter is.

i have an ATX shifter and everything that goes with it, from my MTX swap. it looks real easy to cut. i was going to do it myself but i blew the tranny. if any one wants it to mess with it, just ask.
there are several companys that make auto shift knobs as well. but they dont have a hold button.

ok this could be just me but um anything that involves

"just use a hacksaw it should do the trick" in the instructions may not be the best course of action lol.

best of luck with that, i like the position of the ****fer makes for a nice arm rest i find.

I shortened mine 4 inches. It looks better that way. I really dont see the need for any grief here. He wasnt asking for racing purposes.

well i want to do the same thing. I put an aftermarket shifter on and it looks real bad.Its to high....Check out a pic of it http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/438318/2 Look at it stock it sticks to far up and it would look alot better shorter but I think I am a little scared of the hacksaw idea lol
