So I've decided to take it upon myself to get the word out about us s/c owners. The second Saturday of June 2005 there is a car show in Cache Creek.(320 kms from Surrey, 3 hr drive) The past years it has been only for cars 1970 or older, but last year(2004), we stormed our way in with a 1993 civic, 2001 cavalier, and a 2004 evo. this coming year I am hoping to get at least 20 cars to go. So far confirmed are: 1993 civic, 2001 cavalier, 1991 civic, my 1993 mx-3,and possibly a 1995 corolla. The partying is good, there is stuff to do all weekend, and we can camp in my parents yard, providing we give advance numbers of people. the reason I am doing this so early is to send out a letter to the mayor of Cache creek to reserve a spot so we could be reconized. if you are the least bit interested, PLEASE, please email me with the type of car you have, name, and contact #. If you are part of a club, feel free to pass the word to other drivers. remember, your ride doesn't have to be pimped, stock is fine and oh yeah there is no fee for the show. I'm glad to see that I've stirred up more interest from the B.C. Neons club than I have with our own. I got 2 solid e-mails from interested s/c owners. It's too bad there isn't any interest from our club on these things unless it happens in our back yard.....

no worries though, I'm sure I can gather up another 11 people from the OTHER sport compact clubs in B.C.

oh I'll be coming. simply put it is a long way off.

Thanx for the support guys, I have to plan this early as I have to present all my findings/draftees etc to the town council for approval. I need 20 cars to make a legitemate claim for us to be recognized. also I need evryone that is interested to e-mail me car specs, etc. so I can include them in my reports also. The other reason I started this so early, is to let everyone who is wanting to stay in a motel that YOU HAVE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS because the motels are FILLED every year, and are usually reserved weeks before the event.
