Leaving the fold

Well guys, after 2 years of MX-3 ownership, I'm going to be selling my V6 and replacing it with one of these:

Image

The MX-3 has been great, and NEVER let me down, Nothing has gone wrong on this car, and the only costs have been consumable parts such as brakepads. Any idea what it's worth, it's a 1993 Eunos Presso V6 Automatic, imported to the UK from Japan in 1999. It's got only 59,000 miles, and half leather trim, and 17" wheels (I have the stock wheels too)

You guys have also been great and invaluble for information.

Cheers,

Jeremy

Papa Roached is right, It's a TVR Chimaera 4.0 Litre V8 (thats 244 cubic inch for you guys in the US). 0-60 in 4.8 secs, top speed 155mph ish.

Just to update I didnt go for the TVR, I couldnt find one that was clean enough for the money I had to spend, and there was always going to be the 'what if it breaks??' worry!

So I bought this about 3 months ago. It was standard when I bought it, but now the handling and brakes are sorted  and it's been fettled to have 285bhp :D

FYI, we don't realy use cubic inches in the U.S. anymore unless taking about a 70's or earlier car. Any car after the 80's we exclusively refer to a car's displacement in liters.

So what's the second car? A Nissan Silvia?

Yes it's a Nissan Silva. Here we call it the 200sx. It's a 2.0 litre 16valve turbo. 197bhp as standard, but I've tuned it, and it now make 285bhp. I've also fitted Nismo suspension and 17'' x 8'' wheels at the front, 17'' x 9'' rear.

Very nice! I love those Silvia's! They call it a 200SX? Aren't they called S14s? Thats awesome though!! I just got done installing a Black Top SR20 into my buddies 240sx. It moves nicely! Sweet ride man! I'm jealous!

Here thay are called the 200sx. But it's also known a S14a.

S14 referes to the body style. Just like S13 can refer to one as well (but a different year)

The 200SX in north america is a NA 2.0 liter, non-turbo. Nowhere near the 200hp mark.

for those wondering.. this is a US market 200sx

It is called a 200sx over there b/c it is a 2.0 liter. Even tho its turbocharged (SR20DET), our 200sx is a sentra coupe with a naturally aspirated SR20DE.

Our S13/S14's were called 240SX b/c they had the KA24DE truck motor in them....2.4 liters. Thats where they get the name for it.

Just like in japan...the 180SX looks like our S13 240SX but had a 1.8 primera motor in it that made something like 170-180hp out of a 1.8 dohc (not turbo'ed).
