Possible Long Beach Trip (need feedback)

Ladies and Gentlemen,
The Spring is coming, its getting warmer and we all can't wait to put our Summer tires on, give it a good coat of wax and start enjoying the sunshine.
Well, we (Mx-West, et al) have a lot of great events throughout a year to get together, check cars, play, eat, drink, have a good time and even go for a good day trip or two. Majority of these fun activities are in the Summer and Fall. I think there must be something in the Sping.
Here is an Idea:
A Long Beach Trip. And not in California, but right here in BC. Long beach is located in the Pacific Rim National Park on the West coast of Vancouver Island. The whole area is a beautiful rainforest with sandy stretches of various beaches, Long beach being the main. It one of the main tourist attrachtions and is surfers and hickers paradise.
Of course besides the natural beauty, spectacular views, fun hicking trails and good local sea food restaurants, it is fun getting there. The road to get to the West Coast of the Island cuts through mid-island just North of Nanaimo. It is a good 4 hrs drive from Victoria, BC and about 2.5 hrs from Nanaimo, BC. This road is an experience in itself. It is considered one of the best rides in BC. Many Motorcycle magazines mention it in their annual Best Routes polls. The trip is worth just for the ride itself.
We have not looked at the finer details. Just trying to see how many people would be interested in participating so we can look at accomodation. The plan is to leave on Saturday and come back on Sunday with overnight stay at one of the chalets or B&B's there. We will try to work out such that accomodation is within $50/person.
Two proposed weekends:
April 24/25 or May 15/16. We need to find out if there is a preference to either of the weekends. Please post your preferences in replies to this post.
Vancouver Island owners - here is your chance to get together and do something fun. We already have a few Lower Mainland owners inerested and need more. When else you are going to have a chance to go there and experience all the curves and twists in your favourite car.
Any other comments are welcome as well.
