the little hose attachment on the side of my stock '96 air intake box has broken (no idea how). Anyone got a stock top box that I could buy for cheap in the vancouver area? (I'm gonna glue it back on and hope it holds, but I would rather replace it and don't want to pay $$$$) Or a junkers where I could find said part.

Wouldn't it be easier to just buy a 3" cone filter and replace the stock air box? Just a thought...But hell, Ill give you mine if you pay shipping as soon as I finish my CAI...

Just patch the hole up and nozzle that will fit the hose. Drill a hole, fit the nozzle and attach the hose.

Well, I have returned from my outing...it was semi successful.
I could not find a 96 MX3 at the junkers..and the previous model years use a different air box. (I tried 3 different junkers). So on my drive home I stopped at the new west can tire to get an oil change (I lucked out, on special for $20), and talked to the guys in the shop. They recommended some stuff called JB Weld (it is a 2 part epoxy) that they use for fixing engine blocks when they can't weld properly. I have reattached the piece and will know in 2 days if it holds properly (I think it will).
Another guy there suggested using an end from a rivet and fitting it through and putting the hose on that, so I think I'll do that if the JB Weld doesn't work.
On another note, I got a pair of sylvania cool blue bulbs for my car to replace the crappy eurolite ones that burned out. They aren't the halogen CB bulbs, but should be the same lumens as stock, if not more and will illuminate more.
Thanks for your help guys. BTW: Body work is $$$$ for the car... *sigh* oh well. I am now fully repaired from my accident. I am thinking about putting in 20% blue tint in the rear windows, what do you think?
Also.. anyone know where to get Green air filters in town? (CDN Tire wants like $100 for the K&N)

Those lights won't illuminate more, just filter out the yellow light and make things more white.

Just tested the lights...muuuch better.
Personally I like white lights as I can see better than with the yellows. to me it seems like there is more intensity (even though there might not be).
I don't have the $$ to spend $90 on bulbs ($20 I can afford).
Any potencial pitfalls of these bulbs? (Note: I made sure not to touch the bulbs when removing from package and installing, they never even touched the sides of the headlight)
UPDATE: So far the JB weld is doing its job (sitting on my desk drying still). I'll be doing another coat of it tomorrow around the seam of the join to reinforce it and make sure there are no air leaks. It will be ready for testing saturday... for testing I am driving down to seattle (gonna go see my GF). Anyone wanna come with? I'll be leaving about 5pm or so from vancouver, ETA to bellvue ~2.5h (ROADTRIP!!!!
