Went dragging again 2nite...here are my times. My previous best was 15.49. I fixed my exaust and replaced it with a 2.5", but still running stock cat

1st Run:
R/T: .990
60: 2.302
330: 6.506
1/8: 9.963
MPH: 72.05
1000: 12.899
1/4: 15.414
MPH: 88.68
2nd Run:
R/T: 6.009
60: 2.335
330: 6.673
1/8: 10.179
MPH: 70.59
1000: 13.159
1/4: 15.6830
MPH: 89.83
Than Curt came by, threw on Aaron's old drags, skinny rears, stiffened up the rear suspension and opened up the airbox. Curt Drove.
R/T: 1.297
60: 2.501
330: 6.847
1/8: 10.226
MPH: 73.61
1000: 13.115
1/4: 15.551
MPH: 92.59
What i found weird about that one is that he has high times than me compared to my first run, even a slower 1/4mile, but still manages to break 90mph

My Last Run against BoneSTockKid, he got the drag fronts, i kept the skinny rears and suspension stiffners. I finally managed not to get nervous and use the clutch to control my launch
R/T: .967
60: 2.345
330: 6.444
1/8: 9.813
MPH: 73.98
1000: 12.686
1/4: 15.124
MPH: 91.41
[/QUO0E]

Very, close run, he beat me (14.868 @ 92.65).
Not only that i'm jealous about him beating me with a DE, but also was getting high 14's all night. Oh well, takes some tunning and pratice, thats for sure. Was a fun night. Thanks again Curt for comming out! :2thumbsup:

you had good 60 foot times, but the car was choaking at the higher RPMs due to the stock air box set up and the stock cat. you know your car best, thats why my time was crap, the BFGs werent hot enough for them to stick so I had tons of wheel spin, but becaus we took out the stock air box and just ran the VAF alone as well as iceing the intake manifold, that produced more power,. power = high MPH, traction = low 60 foot, power + traction = low E.T.

Thats why you got the best times without the BFG's You already knew how to get the best 60 foot time from your practice with the stock tires, plus you had more power from the intake icing and open VAF + the skinny rears and the solid rear suspension all helped with power and weight transfer to produce your best time, just think if those basttards had let us do some proper burn outs and get the BFGs hot.

The most important thing is practice, and more practice.

hey guys

yeah tonight was really fun, got 8 runs in total, i still cant believe my first run was a 14.9, i was so freaking out lol.

anyway, my best run was as follows:

R/T ... .878
60ft ... 2.268
330 ... 8.312
1/8 ... 9.572
MPH ... 74.38
1000 ... 12.432
1/4 ... 14.867
MPH ... 91.37

i was EXTREMELY surprised with all my runs tonight, my worst was a 15.107@92.15mph. i have no idea how i pulled those 60footers off, my tires are crappy goodyear gt2's. oh well, im not complaining, just cant wait to see what she'll do with better tires, headers and spray :D lates
