I was looking at the ford racing coil over kits. It looks like the M-3000-Z2 kit for the ZX2 is no longer available, I don't see it listed on fords website anyway. Will the M-3000-Z3 kit listed for the focus work?

pretty sure the focus kit won't work, but if someone knows otherwise let me know as well, cause I can get some cheap off my g/f's brother!

The rear suspension setup on the Focus is significantly different, so, in a word, no.

As I posted previously, apparently Advance Design makes racing coilovers for the Escort, and I presume that they would fit our cars. They are sold through Ground Control for about $1,600 U.S. per set. They have full threaded bodies as well as adjustable and rebuildable dampers. I believe Sport Compact Car used them on one of their rally project cars a couple of years back, and they said they were bulletproof - dead reliable and very durable.

The Ford Racing coil over kit hasn't been available for a bit now, the Focus kit won't work. Ground Control would be your best bet if you want coil overs.

there are other companies that make coilovers for other cars like escorts. try searching for coilovers made for escorts. some companies like dms make a few different types of coilovers for escorts. there are other solutions out there.

id recommend advance design coilovers because they are priced far less than other coilovers i have seen that fit our cars. they should perform quite well also for the price
