Actually, it doesn't matter at all really. Because every strut bar the fit's the MX3 are at least 3 pieces. And that means that there is a pivot point. So it's not a solid link. But I'm working on a design for a one piece that fits around the millenia IM. :welder:

I've got a one piece strut bar from someone on ebay (Australia), so somebody makes (or made) them. There was no manufacturers name or anything on it.

Got pictures? I made my own. It isn't pretty, but I can jump on it and it doesn't flex so it must be strong enough? And it is a one piece design.

The only pics I've got are before I installed the bar so I'll take some tomorrow and post.

the euro MX3's and 30x's had OEM 1-peice strut bars. Its easy to get these in america if you look for the "familia/323" on ebay. They are starting to pop up a lot on ebay and they will fit the mx3 fine

They are not that easy to find. Believe me, I've looked. And besides, most V6 MX3's are going to have a swap with a millenia manifold. Will it fit with that?

And yes, that is my finger in both the photos....

And it was $5 and I was the only bidder! The nuts cost me more to bolt it down. I'll keep an eye out.

One's for protege/323/familia aren't hard to find if you search ebay. They pop up just about every week from what i've seen.

I wouldnt' know if they fit w/a swap. I honestly couldnt' care less as STB's don't do crap for handling anyways. I'd prefer not to add 7 lbs to my car if it doesn't benefit me.

Wasn't there a big thread on how strut bars actually do help. So why would any car company have a strut bar installed from the factory if it doesn't help?

they help the rigidity, but not the handling characteristics.
