Where to buy rear swaybar links????

Post by Mradio »

Like the title says, where can I get some stiffer links?
I was trying to install whiteline swaybar last night, but couldn't get the endlink bolts off.
I did search, but couldn't find anything, corksport doesn't have them either... Any ideas?
They are $90 a piece at Mazda, and $40 from MazdaRecycling. I was thinking I'd rather get some aftermarket ones.
Thanks in advance.

Maybe autozone? Other than that, put a request in the PARTS WANTED forum.

you don`t have to remove the endlinks to install the rear swaybar. If you look at the center of the nut where the swaybar is mounted, you see that it`s a hole for an umbraco (correct name in english?) tool. you use this so the endlink doesn`t just rotate inside.

reused the old endlinks on my mx3 atleast.

Autozone doesn't have the enlinks, they have a swaybar, and some stupid repair kit for like $200+.
I was looking for something more stiffer...

Nope-mx3, I wasn't trying to remove the endlinks, I was trying to remove the endlink bolts. I did use the allen key (I believe that's the correct name), but everything is way too old, it just started to spin inside. And I couldn't even tighten it back, so it moves around now.

I had to cut my old ones off as well. I tried everything: clean the threads with the Dremel brush wheel, used WD40 to lubricate, used brake fluid to make loose. No luck, toom much rust. Destroyed a few fiberglass reinforced cut-off wheels, but got those old links off. New oned from Mazda were about $80.00 Canadian.

FWIW, WD40 is a water displacer, not a lubricant or rust inhibitor.

Something like Liquid Wrench would work much better.

Gro Harlem , I found mazda motorsports info, but you need race results or something to get the discount and be able to order parts. Are you already registered?

Is anyone a registered member on mazdamotorsports.com? You need to go to events and prove it to them to be able to order parts.

If someone is, can you order these endlinks for me, I'll payPal you right away. I can even add couple of extra dollars on top of the price.

I've been a member for a couple of years. But it is part of their policy that you can't buy parts for other people or you will be kicked off. Don't you have timeslips or anything? Thats all you need.

I just linked them to a couple auto-x results, and pictures of my timeslips. I've been a member for almost 2 years now.

I have timeslips from the dragstrip, I was never at any autocross event. Will that work?
